Dear Kieth,

I was searching on goggle for a church in Langley and the Alive Christian Church popped up. I had heard there were some changes taking place and learned that New Life Christian Centre has merged with Alive. That is a big undertaking, but not too big for God. I listened to your May 2, 2010 message on "Taking Risks" full of confidence in God's ability in us to succeed. We at City Centre Ministry are also taking on a big challenge by "Resurrecting" CCM from the ashes of inactivity for many years. As you would know it has been a slow process, but through God, we have refurnished the office in Scotia Square and have some programs planned for the Downtown. We have had a few meetings with some Churches of the HRM and would like to invite you to the next one. We have not chosen a date yet, but it will be before the summer. Bruce Havill, Matt Whitman, Michael ProzZz and a number of others are involved in our new mission and purpose. Please sent me your contact info and I can keep you updated on developments as we all work together to bring Jesus to our community. Thank you, Kieth and blessings to you and all the Alive team as you embark on a new challenge.

Just listened to Pastor Keiths' sermon on taking risks. Very informative & challenging. Its true that often we 'move' on smaller promptings from God such as passing on a word of knowledge or wisdom to a fellow Christian; and its also true that we can easily avoid promptings that involve discomfort and time consumption. Keith is correct in saying that if we are 'comfortable', we are quite obviously, not living in victory. Life is short compared to eternity with our great God ... it almost seems that, to a great extent, uncomfortableness should be a familiar position in which we find ourselves in on a daily basis. As the sermon incorporates, we will fail often in degrees, but only if we attempt success. We do have to believe & heavily trust scripture knowing that God will equip us for the task(s) at hand; and honestly, we will know quickly if we are not doing God's will when pursuing risks by listening to that still small voice. And how do we do that? Does what we are doing jibe with scripture? Is it a kingdom building pursuit? Is what you are doing (taking that risk), glorifying God from the onset? Are doors opening or are they closing as you pursue a risk? Are you comfortable with what your conscience is telling you ... I could go on. Ultimately, no one has seen God and thus, enters the faith factor. Not alot of faith is required, as it is not always the size of our faith, but the size of God almighty. So yes, getting out of our comfort zone is very necessary and i'm sure the God of rewards will reward all who pursue risks and (in hindsight), knowing that God's will was done, encouraging us to be more comfortable the next time we feel uncomfortable. God will bless us and wants to build His kingdom in partnership with anyone who will risk it. God will even honour our failures if indeed our heart was in it. Its a win win situation. Come on church ( me first, heh heh), the lost don't get found by mind-reading; they become found because we are letting Gods' great good news come forth from our mouth. Jesus experienced much discomfort but His love for God was to real to let discomfort or anything else get in the way. We are Christians, small-Christs ... trust God & His Word and go out and make disciples. Thank-you God for the priviledge and prepare us to be of the world but not in it. We love you Jesus. Help us all to fall in love with You and your perfect absolutes. Amen

Hello,

I thank God for leading me to your website. I've been in search of a home church and feel compelled after reading about your ESTL ministry that I'm meant to be a part of your church. I would love to participate in your ESTL ministry too if that is possible.

Blessings
